About shopping with us
Sure! Are you on vacation and can only accept your package later or would you like to send a gift to somebody on a special day? In the first checkout step, please enter the earliest date on which we can send your package in the “Comments” field below the delivery address. We will then send your package on this date and your package will usually arrive at the desired address 1-3 days later. Please understand that we have no influence on the final shipping times of DHL and other shipping companies.
2-3 working days if the product is on stock; if it must be ordered it may take a little longer. This is indicated in the shop. Please let us know if you have a desired delivery date. We are happy to check for you whether we can make it.
When the goods leave our house, you will receive the carrier’s tracking number so that you can track your package.

Yes, you can order personalized vouchers in a beautiful design from Whisky4you, which are activated after receipt of payment and remain valid for 3 years. They are not redeemable for cash and are only redeemable in the country in which they were purchased.
There are no shipping costs for vouchers within Germany (normal postage abroad). You can also get it as a PDF version if you need it quickly and want to print it out yourself.
To redeem the voucher, place the goods in the shopping cart and enter the voucher number in the relevant field. The amount is then automatically deducted from the invoice amount when you send the order. The remaining credit remains on the voucher up to max. 3 years from date of issue and can be used for additional purchases.
Yes, we can send your package to a different address, which you can enter in addition to the billing address in the checkout. If you wish, we will not include an invoice in the package. We will then send you the invoice separately by email. You can also choose high-quality gift packaging (inner packaging) and a short personal text for your package for a supplement of 3,50 Euro.

We ship with DHL as standard; if you want a different delivery service, please indicate this when ordering. In this case you will cover the different costs / savings and the liability for the transport. For this reason, we recommend choosing transport service with insurance.
If you notice transport damage when receiving your package and it has been sent via DHL by us, please take the damaged package with the complete content to a DHL counter. You will receive a complaint slip there. Send this to us by e-mail so that we can initiate a replacement delivery. (If the product is no longer available, you will receive a refund of the purchase price).
If you have expressly ordered a different type of transport, we ask you kindly to handle the damage with the carrier by yourself.
We will refund the German VAT when we receive an invoice from you that has been stamped by customs for the export from Germany or the import into your country.

Basically, we are an online shop. But if you are in the area, we are sure to find a way for your personal pick up. Yes, we also organize tastings for groups of 8-10 people. The event lasts about 1.5 – 2 hours and includes the presentation and tasting of 6-8 selected single malts. We only present high-quality single malts from our shop and are happy to put them together in consultation with the organizer. You are welcome to send us inquiries about prices and dates by e-mail.

About Whisky investment, qualtiy and storage
We have prepared a small selection of whiskies for certain types of connoisseurs in the video “present suggestion” in the “Special Day Whisky” section in the tasting room. You are also welcome to ask us about alternatives by e-mail and describe your taste or the person to be gifted. Finally, you can also find different suggestions in the tasting room in the various tasting videos.
No, you cannot be particularly good in all areas at the same time. We do not want to go into the broad masses, but into the depths of Scottish whiskies. That is why we have specialized in high-quality Scotch and offer you a selected range. Each bottle is tasted by us and carefully described. With us you not only get good scotch, but also the interesting details, backgrounds, and stories. With this we ensure maximum enjoyment for your head, nose, and palate.
According to the “Scotch Whisky Act” in its current version, Scotch may only be colored with E150a caramel coloring. Truly little of this is used to achieve a consistent color for a type of Scotch over time. In most cases this can hardly be determined in terms of taste. Nevertheless, some enthusiasts also appreciate uncolored whiskies, as you can see the direct influence of the storage barrels which gave the original color to the whisky.
If the bottle was originally closed and the level has not decreased by more than 1-2 cm, then not much of the content has evaporated and the taste should be preserved. The alcohol also preserves so that the whisky does not “spoil”. In this case, you can still drink it, even if the taste will no longer be exactly the original after an exceedingly long storage time due to evaporation and oxidation that cannot be prevented 100%.
No, the whisky only matures in wooden barrels and the maturation ends when it is bottled in a glass bottle.
That is not recommended. Storing and maturing whisky is a complicated skill that requires a lot of experience. The type and size of the barrels and their previous contents are carefully selected by the distilleries. If you pour the whisky into any cask, it will uncontrollably absorb the aromas from this wood. Most probably you will spoil the taste this way.
Unless you are a skilled distiller and can select the few casks of a batch that will turn out to be a good single malt, you should not buy a cask. Only a small portion of the production is selected for sale as single malt after maturation. The rest is sold to the blend industry. This selection requires a lot of experience. Also consider the storage costs as well as the legal hurdles and costs for customs clearance and bottling alcohol.
This may be a good option as opposed to buying a wooden barrel. But here too there is no guarantee which whisky will develop well in value. Anyone who wants to invest in whisky can do so as a collector. Like other collections, such as postage stamps or coins, one would try to create complete collections, for example whiskies from a distillery, from certain annual bottlings or from a region. These could then later be offered in full to collectors and enthusiasts. In addition, one should rather specialize in limited bottlings which are not issued in large numbers.
